Paradox of the Cross

As we face troubled times, our present crisis provides an opportunity to revisit our identity. Who are we and what is this thing we call church? Paul’s response to this question can be characterized as The paradox of the cross; a different way to live, one that turns society on its head.  Are we passionate about building a present-day kingdom that both Paul and Jesus envisioned? Or we as a church conscious of the biggest problems facing the world? And what do we do with this tension when those in power do not work to build a peaceful and just kingdom?
